Kucherov 88 pts in 56 games?  Buried CGY tonight ... I'mmmmmm thinking this is Tampa's year.

Watch them get the Penguins in the 1st round and lose.

Count me as being in favor.  But I doubt it.

I think the accolades are pretty easy tonight, 34 and 24 for me, but Andersen, Tavares, Kadri all have had really good games.

3 soft plays by Zaitsev, Hainsey, and Marner.
Zaitsev literally watched the puck from the point go in as his man tipped it as he stood next to him doing nothing

I was referring to a play earlier where he had a clearing attempt and wasn't heavy enough on it.

Willy helps Naz convert a 2-on-5 like no big deal. This line is an extreme discount.

That was the Nylander we thought we were getting for the dough.  And he outscored Pastrnak tonight ... thumbs up!

OK that was naughty.  I really do wish 88 a speedy recovery, he slays us but I like his game.

Marner really hasn?t looked great the last few games.  Do we get to thank his agent for not creating distractions?

Or the fact that he played the first 54 games like a man on fire and has had a bit of a slow down for a couple?

There was a goal somewhat similar to this one against Boston, except Kadri and Nylander were the hapless victims trying to shutter up Kuraly corralling Zaitsev?s flubbed pass. Relaxing during the other team?s line change is an area where embarrassing looking goals are conceded.

Nylander in charge here...

He's not playing with Matthews, which means Willy and Kadri and now Johnsson get to shred 3rd-4th lines. This is the game plan for the playoffs. If Matthews can tread water with Kapanen, and occasionally rope-a-dope a rush goal, and Tavares-Marner continue to shutdown the other top line, then Kadri's line is going to just crush the spirit of the other team, constantly setting up OZ starts for their other lines if not outright goals.

I hope with the additional memory of goals actually happening now that people start to see what separates Nylander from good buddy and also pretty good player Kasperi Kapanen. Kapanen has the wheels to separate and get the puck into the zone, and usually a nice breakaway chance, but his playmaking and puck holding in non-Kappy speeds is a tier or two below what Nylander can do on the cycle. Nylander doesn't have Kappy's top-end speed but paired with his puck holding abilities, he is still the best individual transition player on this team; add a near-Marner-level playmaking vision and passing and one of the zippiest wristers on the team and it's very easy to see why 6.9M AAV is a steal. Oh, he's only on the front-edge of his development curve and his contract is locked down for his prime.

I was very close to voting Nylander for one of the MotM accolades; I only went with Kappi and Papi because of their actual production in points. But Nylander was awesome last night. He's so good in all aspects of the game. He really doesn't have much of a weak spot. He's like Gardiner -- but even better -- in his ability to separate the puck from opponents and being able to anticipate the puck.

I genuinely think if he played the exact same game but was 20 lbs heavier and 2 inches taller(and was, say, Will from Calgary) he'd be seen completely differently by some people.
