Good response by the Leafs after the STL goal.

The timeout from Keefe was good.  Regroup and the Leafs have controlled the period since

Muzzin with a stupid pass, and Nylander after he lost the puck ... just watched it, didn't make any move to try to get it back.
That's the frustration with him. Sooo good then so careless and lazy.

Still too many turnovers but I think their best game of the year.
Agreed!

I mean, going into STL, chasing their Cup-winning goalie for the first time in his career, and then clamping down the rest of the game?  Very impressive.  Hope they have an epic Western swing.  That might turn the season around.

They tried their best to give up the lead in the 3rd, but Freddie was pretty locked down.

I think this game was the best example of puck luck finally in the leafs favour.

Yup. He's had some brutal giveaways tonight as well.

He has to root that stuff out of his game.  Maybe Keefe can get through to him.

Yes he needs to get that out of his game. They all do but Nylander seems to be leading the pack.

Anytime you beat the defending Stanley Cup Champions it's got to be a big confidence booster.  Hoping this win tonight begins a mini winning streak of some sort.  They certainly could use that and keep on improving under Keefe.

The way the Leafs took the play at the Blues, asserting themselves and not afraid to rough it up a bit shows the team is beginning to turn a corner, so to speak.  Definitely one of their better games this year in which they need more of.

GO LEAFS GO!

If Matthews has a few more games like that maybe we can trade him to Washington for Tom Wilson.

Wasn't impressed with his (Nylander) game tonight and that giveaway by Muzzin was atrocious. No excuse for that. Right in the slot to an opposing player. Rifle it around the boards and take an icing before a bonehead play like that.

If he played a few more like that he might not be the subject of so many complaints.
