Am I missing something about Travis Hamonic? Those are some crazy trades being suggested.

Does anybody know, even if only generally, what the problem is that he needs to go the Prairies?

He has only said it is a private personal family reason why he wants to be moved closer to his Manitoba home.
He requested to be traded prior to this season starting, but I've also heard he is willing to wait until the current season is over before being moved. That would indicate that the matter is important to him, but maybe not urgent?

I don't understand why Hamonic requested just Western Canadian cities as there are American cities closer to his home? Minnesota would be closest after Winnipeg and while not on Hamonic's "list" I have heard that the Wild would be amenable to working something out with the Isles to get him closer to home.

His dad died of a heart attack when he was young. He does a lot of charity work with kids who have lost a parent. Hard to guess what the issue is, maybe something to do with his mom or a sibling?

Count me among the lurkers these days as well, although the better the team plays the more apt I am to post. The second half of last season I put about as much effort into posting as the Leafs did on the ice!

Leafs made the Bruins skate and kept them on the perimeter:

...I think we had to work really hard to get this one," Bruins coach Claude Julien said. "They did a good job around their net. ... Lots of shots, but for the most part, they were doing a good job by either blocking them, or at least taking away their rebound if there was one, by being down low. So we had to work hard to get that goal ... but I thought our team did a good job of staying focused with what we were supposed to do, and not get frustrated."

Not a sarcastic comment: Ridicule?
