Game Notes

TOR
?Campbell (9-10-2, 2.89 GAA, .899 Sv%) will likely start for the Leafs
?Saturday's starter has not been decided yet, but we do know it won't be Andersen. I'm guessing Campbell goes back to back
?Nylander missed Friday's game with an illness. He's not traveling to Montreal with the team right away but could still play if he is feeling better tomorrow

MTL
?Price (23-18-4, 2.73 GAA, .912 Sv%) will likely start for the Canadiens
?Since December 1st Price has started 24 of Montreal's 30 games. He has a .924 Sv% during that span
?The Canadiens are 8-3 in their last 11 games but are still 6 points out of a playoff spot
?Kovalchuk has 11 points in 14 games with Montreal. He's averaging 19:23 per game with the team
?Looks like the flu bug is going through Montreal right now so the line-up is not set in stone

Injuries

?William Nylander - Illness - Questionable Saturday
?Frederik Andersen - Neck - Out Saturday
?Cody Ceci - Ankle - Injured Reserve
?Morgan Rielly - Foot - Injured Reserve
?Ilya Mikheyev - Wrist - Injured Reserve
Code:

?Ryan Poehling - Illness - Questionable Saturday
?Jordan Weal - Illness - Questionable Saturday
?Tomas Tatar - Illness - Questionable Saturday
?Jonathan Drouin - Wrist - Injured Reserve
?Shea Weber - Lower Body - Injured Reserve
?Paul Byron - Knee - Injured Reserve

I must say, you are almost alarmingly efficient.

Probably wouldn't say that if you knew how much time I spent refreshing like half a dozen sites waiting for someone to update Campbell's season stats so I wouldn't have to calculate his GAA and Sv% myself.

friendly amendment

Habs may split the D but Jack prepares the split-pea.
Habs may go full-throttle but Jack's got cream-of-mushroom in his Gatorade bottle.
It's a Saturday night setting and Jack's bringing the italian-wedding.

Go Leafs Go!

Should be another nail-biting, one goal game with Les Habs, although, I'd rather rather chase Price from the net. I always wish for that, but it ends up being another one goal game, so this is my prediction, hoping I get the reverse outcome and we pound them..

Muzz needs to pick it up -- 2 giveaways.

On the plus side Campbell looks situationally aware in goal.  Also liked the tap he gave Gallagher after the first save.

Just don?t get the amout of odd man rushes we give up or opportunities from meaningless plays in the neutral zone. Focus needs to improve and big time. Unacceptable. If Keefe can improve this area of their game go along way to limit the chances this team gives up.

Liljegren with a nice recovery to prevent the pass after he initially lost control of the puck.

Johnsson having a helluva period.

Pretty even looking game. No egregious errors this far, although I don't understand why the Leafs take it back into their own zone with a forechecker draped on them. Half the time they can't shake the forechecker so the other team gains the zone without really doing anything.

Good Hockey, pretty balanced, no real chances, no great saves. Wish Willie was playing. Austin improving his D game big time.  Thank god Ceci is resting. Robidas Island will be very comfortable.  Now just trade Barrie for someone better than him D wise.
