So, they're going to have him play his first game in Philly instead? Or here? I mean, there isn't exactly a low pressure environment to start him off in this week.

Of course, but I do think opening night against the Habs in the Bell Centre would probably top the list if you had to rank them.

I also think that there's a good chance Rielly doesn't actually play at all this week. There's 6 legitimate NHL defencemen on the roster ahead of him, so one of them will have to play himself out of the line-up at least temporarily first.

Agreed.

Maybe it's a hierarchy thing...like you've got to beat someone else out of the lineup.

That concept seems to have been lost on Colborne.  :P

I love HD hockey. We got a new TV last spring, and all the Barrie Colts games were broadcast on the Rogers digital high def channel. It was really hard to go back to watching 'regular' def on Leafs tv etc this past month. Glad to have High Def for the Leaf games too :D

:(

I can't get my Bud Red Light to work. Followed all the instructions that came with it, and on the app one must download to install?..I got the flashing green light on the memory card, but it doesn't light up and/or bellow when I test it.

This better be resolved by game time.

The new 4k televisions will look absolutely awesome for hockey games. (4x the definition of HD)

Right now that want $20K for an 84". I think I'll wait a few years before I upgrade.

There is no 4K source material.  Broadcast TV is YEARS away from even thinking about it.

You may also want to wait until there's actually a good amount of 4k content (there's very little right now).

They're actually not that far off. BBC broadcast part of Wimbledon in 4k, the 2014 World Cup Final will be broadcast in 4k and a few other networks are working on getting it rolling for live broadcasts. It's probably only a couple years away from being widespread, really.

There are also some Blu-ray discs out there that are 4k, though, not a ton.

I plan on getting a home theatre projector with a 100'' screen in the $2-3k price range in the next couple of months. You guys are all welcome to be jealous.

You must have a pretty big room to put that in?

Kessel signed!  Roll on the good times.  Reims will have a perfect night in net. 4-0 Leafs.

Reimer with a 40 sv effort for the win, Kessel with a power play hat trick, Gardiner with a G and 3 helpers  and Gunnarsson with a couple assists and a match penalty for destroying Parros in a fight would make me a very happy fantasy owner tonight. A guy can dream.....
