That's some Happy Gilmoreness. Goalies are weird, man

For those who didn't know about it, this pre-game ritual started when he was in the Czech Republic and his goalie coach accidently fired two shots off his mask during a pre-game skate and he ended up getting a shutout in the game that night.

He hasn't been pitching shutouts the entire way since, so what a fine tradition to uphold.

If he does get one does that mean he needs to be late for every team meeting from now on?

He's not a goalie, so I don't know if those kinds of superstitions apply?

I sure hope the Maple Leafs, a team whose success I've been invested in for many years, win tonight's match against the Canucks. If they end up losing, I will be momentarily disappointed but will view it as a minor setback as it's something outside of my control and my enjoyment of the sport and my fandom is not mainly predicated on whether they win all of their games but rather the sense of community it fosters and the connection it helps develop with my friends, family and city.

I feel attacked. I will see you in court.

This is accountability?  Accountability is what Nylander's Viking forebears would have done to him if he overslept a raid.

Is there a hockey equivalent to a blood eagling?

I know one thing.  If the Leafs lose I am done with the team forever.  They better beat Winnipeg when I watch on Thursday.
And if they lose on Thursday Im DEFINITELY not watching ever again. But I am curious to see if they go with Rittich on Saturday...

That's it.  I'm tired of this forum.  It's full of people who are entirely too rational about the team in a negative way and in a positive way.  It's also full of people who are entirely to irrational about the team in a negative way and in a positive way.  I am off to find a forum where the people are all wishy washy and don't have an opinion about anything and everyone just agrees all the time.  I am never posting here again.
