Leafs @ Canucks - Nov. 2nd, 7:00pm - CBC, TSN 1050

It's nights like this that make is abundantly clear that, with the way they're playing, if the Leafs weren't getting some of the best goaltending in the NHL, they'd be down there with Philly, Edmonton and Buffalo fighting for the best shot at the 1st overall pick.

Which is why I thought the hate for Wilson/love for Carlyle was misguided by the hands each were dealt in net.  The Leafs played overall better games under Wilson with a worse lineup than I've seen so far from Carlyle.

I agree

Oh, I'm with you on that. My guess is Wilson would have this team playing much better hockey and really taking advantage of the goaltending they're getting. Carlyle's been very fortunate in his time behind the Leafs' bench.

I'm glad more and more people are coming around on this.

I agree with this, but the Leafs are way better than Carlyle and the coaching staff let them play.

Thanks guys I just had an image flash into my brain of a Toskala/Raycroft tandem behind this team. Won't sleep for a week now.

Randy Carlyle says David Bolland's cut is similar to the Erik Karlsson injury. He'll have surgery tonight.

Well...

I question how much Carlyle knows about what Karlsson's injury was actually like.

I would imagine that information was passed onto him from a trainer or someone on the medical staff.

Even still . . . teams don't really share that kind of information with each other. Outside of the fact that it was a cut on the leg that required surgery, I don't think the Leafs have much way of knowing how similar the two injuries really are.
