Is Tavares playing tonight?

At his best John makes a bunch of little plays that end up in goals.  When he's not, he kind of disappears outside of the faceoff circle.

Leafs need a heck of a lot more from him.

Yes they do.  He was more noticeable tonight but didn't create anything offensively,

Yeah that long bomb to Nylander's breakaway wasn't real.

On a different note, why is Joey Anderson getting any playing time?
Why not? Engvall is out and Clifford isn't good. I'd prefer to see Seney but whatever, not too concerned about a guy who plays 6 mins a night.

pathetic display

Pathetic post.

How the hell do you watch this game and come away with this being anything other than getting goalied

Giving up 2 goals to that team is pathetic.  Im sorry.  Its true

It's your opinion, not truth.

2 goals, with one of them being a weird bounce off the boards? That's acceptable. The Leafs weren't perfect, but they dominated that game, as they should have. Nylander and Matthews both had posts that could have been goals.

Well there?s a wasted 2 points. Chance to shoot and Reilly and Nylander killing the clock. I?m sure these 2 points will come back to haunt us.

You're sure? That's a bit dramatic. The Leaf are sitting with the 4th best point percentage in the league. An occasional loss in a game where they dominated is probably sustainable.

He's always dramatic.

It's funny, Keefe's take on his line last night was "better but meh," the guy at MLHS thought Tavares had a 5-star game, and I didn't see anything at all.  Not that I am as careful observer as many are.

The line as a whole hasn't been good the last 2 games....that includes Willy. They were the worst line against Vegas by far..stuck in their zone touch and with the easier match up.

Really weird of you to single out the one person on that line actually doing anything
Willy was not his usual self against Vegas and he wasn't anything special last night either...and guess what, it's ok. No one is on every game. He'll be fine and so will the line.
