Leafs @ Flyers - Jan. 26th, 7:00pm - SNO, Fan 590

I know we have to be smart about retribution etc blah, blah, blah.

But if Babcock wants to continue telling the media how Martin keeps the flies off the team, maybe let him loose once in a while when the opposing team is running around taking liberties.

Nylander continues to play hard. Matthews and Marner are taking all the attention right now, but he's due to score a bunch of points soon.

Gudas needs to be suspended again.

However, it's not likely... it was a Leaf... it was Kadri!  Enough said.

I'm a big fan or the Marek for Millard swap.

Yeah I've said this a million times but he's easily the most under-used asset at Sportsnet.

I think the facebook live portion of their World Cup of Hockey coverage was a bit of an audition for him and it was very popular so it's good to see him getting rewarded.

I'm pretty sure the Flyer won the opening face off of that 4 minute penalty kill back with his glove which should have been a penalty.

Quite the eagle-eyed Ulsterman over here.

Good spot.

I'd like to see it again but surprised nobody has picked up on it. A full 2 minutes of 5 on 3 there and maybe we have a very different scoreline.

I doubt it.  For some reason the Leafs lose their intensity on the powerplay.  We put more pressure on them 5 on 5!

So if you accidentally shoot the puck put. Penalty. Purposefully kick it out. No penalty.

Leafs are 2nd in the league in PP scoring percentage. I'd say there's gotta be something approaching intensity there.

And first in PP% on the road, so yeah. Does not quite compute there Al

Has the feeling of one of those irritating gameso where the Leafs are playing OK to well but things aren't quite working

Well, from what I have witnessed in this game, we had better pressure 5 on 5 than we had on the 4 minute power play.

This is one of those weird cases where the rule is actually too specific. It specifically says "with their stick or with their hands/gloves." Another incident or two where a player kicks or head-butts the puck out intentionally, and that rule gets changed over the summer.
