Leafs @ Flyers - Nov. 2nd, 7:00pm - CBC, Fan 590

Happy to take that extra point but don't think they really deserved it. This team needs to get its act together starting with 34 and 88.

That shouldn't have been so tough.

Matthews and Nylander did the precise equivalent of squat all night long.  Nylander even worse than that.

Rielly not in the top 9 shooters for the Leafs.

Weird, hey?
What about Johnsson not being top 9?

I would put Rielly out there before Johnsson, but yes, not sure why Timoshov gets the nod when he did, before either 44 or 18 wasn't it?
Maybe Timashov was really good for the Marlies. We don't see the practices either.
Just wanted to add Holl was a +2 playing nearly 17 minutes and Dermott was a +3 in 12. Holl continues to surprise.

Okay, so the Leafs win and more appropriately Andersen gets his reward for keeping the team in the game both in regulation, OT, & in the shootout.  Happy for Freddie.

Not too happy with the way Matthews, Nylander and some other Leafs looked feeble on the shootout ?losing the puck, unable to get the shot, etc.  Thanks to Spezza and ultimately Johnsson for their keen timing and adept shooting.  At least these guys knew how to do it.

A team loaded with talent has trouble outperforming a team like the Flyers who are still struggling to carve out an identity?  Not impressed at all in that 3on3 OT and Kappy?s  penalty (on an otherwise good game for him).

Even though the Leafs played with renewed vigor tonight (thank you schedule), still this team has to iron itself out on some issues at play.

By winning it tonight, we silenced those Flyer fans & Gritty.  Ha! That feels great.

Matthews didn't lose the puck Imo. He tried the Kucherov. Didn't work, oh well. Nice to see Spezza score in both the game and shootout.

I wonder how many times Cody Ceci needs to be walked around in front of the net before Babcock stops playing him 28 minutes.  I get that it was just Dermott's 2nd game back but he should be able to handle more than 12 minutes of ice-time.

Up to the point Johnsson scored the winner, he had done nothing more to impress than Nylander and Matthews

I want to see Mikheyev with Matthews.
