I know Babcock is having Rielly play important defensive minutes too but what logic is there to keep him off the PPnfor a second year.  I don't really understand it...particularly when he's losing a spot to a guy like Komarov.

Losing a spot to Komarov?  Nope, not one bit.  Unless you want Reilly standing in front of the net, he's not losing his spot to Komarov who's job on that PP is to stand in front of the net and cause havoc for the goalie.  None of the more skilled players on the team, except JvR, are going to do that job.  Not Kadri, not Marner, not Matthews, not Bozak, not Nylander.

The complaint we should have is why are Gardiner, Carrick, and Zaitsev ahead of him on the PP pecking chart.  Not why is Komarov on the PP instead of Reilly, as they have totally different roles.

Except not every team/powerplay has someone in that role. So choosing to use Komarov does mean you're forgoing another tactic. What raises further questions is how good Komarov actually is in that role.

I'm a bit surprised no one has thrown out Boneitis yet. I was going to, but I already made a commitment.

Lupul's injury status should probably be "Joffrey Lupul - Because He's Joffrey Lupul - Out Indefinitely".

I'm going to open this up to the floor here. The best suggestion by the end of the night will be used for the remainder of Lupul's time on the IR (so until June 2018 basically).

Joffrey Lupul - Pining for the Fjords - Out Indefinitely

That was never 5 minites just now!

I kid.  ;)

Mine was terrible, but this is gross.

Potvin's was the best.

Believe it or not just a couple hours after someone on the official mapleleafs.com forum posted a thread based on that tweet, the boards got shut down for good.

Gross though?  No.  Distasteful?  Absolutely, but many jokes are.  Sadly some manners of jest are hard to translate through a forum, though.

You have the best responses, absolutely the best. They're tremendous. Everyone says so.

I just have to wrap my head around the high sensitivity level and uber political correctness of this forum.  Takes some getting used to is all, given the polar opposite nature of that other place.

If by high sensitivity and uber political correctness, you mean basic standards of human decency and respectfulness. And, the expectation that jokes should, you know, actually be funny.

I recommend cranking that calibration dial to the highest level you've got, otherwise your more valuable input will be obfuscated and ignored by the readers' general distaste.

It costs you nothing to not say those things.
