That was a crazy dead bounce (Ah hit the ref) but I want to see Jack stop that.

Is it just me, or are more pucks hitting refs directly leading to goals this season?

Play should be blown dead if the puck hits an official.

That was so stupid by Nylander.

Why was that stupid.  It was a horrible luck bounce off the ref.  I don?t hate controlling possession there.  Seattle was ceding the play until the ref got in the play

Yeah I don't get the hate there. All the Leafs on the ice were dog tired so either Willy ices it and keeps everyone on or sends it back to let everyone change (but have a 0.5% chance of the puck bouncing off a ref and directly to a Kraken player).
He pulled an Engvall. We see that all the time. Unlucky but you have to be good to be lucky and that was not good.

I don?t know if blowing the play dead is viable but it?s another reason why we probably should have Olympic sized ice at this point.  If it?s acceptable for Arizona to play in front of 2500 people why not cut down attendance league wide by a few hundred seats

They have been coached  to keep pick possession. He was playing that the way they have been coached to do

I'm on board with this.  That would really open things up for the skillsters.

Yes they play that way but sometimes you have to just get it out especially when everyone is gassed. It was a bad decision by Willy.

I don't think many, if any NHL building can put in a 100x200 foot ice surface.  In Beijing this year they are playing on NHL size ice surface.

Sure they can, so long as they take out the benches and make the players sit among the fans.  It would open up whole new realms of up-close-and-personal interaction ? and marketing ? possibilities.  Who wouldn't pay extra dough to sit next to Jake Muzzin's beard?

Yeah, I retract my criticism of Jack on the goal.  I didn't realize Jarnkrok was so close.

And I say no to Giordano.  Get a better depth D and save the picks.

If it did not hit the ref they had control of the puck and the whole line changes.
Hindsight is the best sight.

I like Gio but yeah he?s not the guy I?d look to acquire.  I do think Dubas needs to look more at the 2nd pair than a 3rd pair guy though.  Don?t make a stupid trade but if there is an opportunity to get Holl off the middle pairing I think you have to go for it
