Leafs @ Predators - Jan. 27th, 8:00pm - TSN4, Fan 590

Pretty sure the area becomes:
6? x 4sin(tilt angle)?
And sin(angle), other than 0 (I.e. net straight up), is less than 1, I.e. less than 4? high.

Not sure what O?Neill was going with the net tilt there. Tilting the net shrinks the scoring area to shoot for.
He was talking about it going high over the net I think. Not sure it works that way... Have to draw it out to see how the angle works. Nah, don't care lol.

I could have posted that.  Totally.

Went with my intuition instead.

I thought he meant the shot might have been going a bit wide to miss the net high-right so tipping the net forward helped catch it. Not sure it made any difference but whatever

Oh okay thaaaat makes some sense.

But I?ve heard Nylander talk and he?s really not that thoughtful.

Sandin breaks up 2 NSH plays the shift after he helped keep it in the OZ for about 2 minutes.

I still don't see how that could increase the chances.

And I'd say Nylander is more thoughtful that Jeffburger.

Puck was at the left circle, right? Shot going wide of the right post is now snagged because the net was tilted forward.

That's right. That's what he said. Actually makes sense.

I still don't see how that could increase the chances.

OK, I see what you and Hobbes are saying.  Apologies to O-Dog.
