What was this stuff about Babcock liking a lot about the game with Minny?

I missed last nights game but judging by most comments and a dozen shots after 2 periods don't know what he's watching when he said they played pretty well. Maybe for 1 period Mike when Minny probably sat back.

Jesus if your not going to battle for the puck on the PP get off the ice. Marner has done a complete reversal from last year. Making stupid plays and giving the puck away. Almost like he's nervous every time he has it. Bozak and JVR f'n weak without the puck.

Babs has done a pretty good job emasculating Marner and Nylander.

Someone behind the bench overheard Babcock say that the Leafs are playing the greatest game of hockey ever played tonight.

True story.

Nice that they decided to take some shots on goal there in the last 45 seconds.  ::)

As always, too little too late!  They'll do the same thing in the 3rd period!

I guess we just have to wait for the World Juniors to see exciting hockey again!

Babcock hockey sucks!

Wow, that was one of the most goal like non goals I've seen in a while. Off the crossbar and post and back out. Lucky its not 3-1.

The 4th line has been our best tonight and it isn't even close. That's a good thing and a bad thing.
They play hard. The other lines, not so much. They actually forecheck and win puck battles and skate with urgency. Really, it's the only line that seems capable of playing the "style" Babcock is imposing on the team.

Cuthbert and Ferraro shut up. Talking about how Matthews drives the bus with Leafs lack of scoring lately. When the team won their first 5 games without Auston everything was good. Leafs scoring was down even with Auston in the lineup before he got hurt. He wasn't doing much before his recent injury. All boils down to the idiot behind the bench who has managed to F up this team with his coaching deficiencies. When he signed I thought great we'll get a good coach and who cares what they pay him. Boy was I wrong. Like I said couple weeks ago hopefully we see a cup win as you never know what can happen in this league. Look at Ottawa one goal away from the finals. If we don't manage to get one soon going to be painful watching him behind the bench for another 5 years or so. Honestly don't know what Shanahan and Lou actually see and think of all this. Something has to give. Anyway have had enough tonight. Take care everyone have a great weekend.

I don't blame you, man.  Getting owned by a bad Wings team is pretty ugly.

I guess you have to expect a loss on the second game of a back to back, but man, this one doesn't feel good. The last few games don't feel good...

Hopefully this is one of those games we look back on in June as a low point.

Well that was a nightmare. Looking forward to Babcock waxing poetical about how they lost ?the right way?.

Also looking forward to Komarov leading all forwards in icetime again next game.
