One of my biggest pet peeves about colour commentators is when they completely guess what a coach is telling a player on the bench and acting like it's 100% a fact.

Can't they hear it if they're between the benches?

I'm not used to the Leafs winning in Buffalo. Good game. Loved the Kadri goal.

Fun fact: With Nylander and Marner hitting 60 points, they have joined Matthews in the top 50 of rookie season scoring in NHL history.

Sometimes, sure, but, a lot of the time, the coaches are right in the player's ears - so, you have to imagine, with the crowd noise and such, it's generally going to be too loud for a guy 8-10 feet away to hear clearly, if at all.

I can't say for sure as I suppose each building is different but the very few times I've sat near benches as a fan you could hear stuff fairly clearly.

Should send in the Kane punch to Anderson in to the league, make a bit of noise in the press too. He won't be disciplined, but shining the spotlight on a dirtbag never hurts.

Leafs on a 11-2-1 run to help get into the playoffs and fend off a late-charging Tampa. 5th in the League in goals scored, behind only Pittsburgh, Washington, Minnesota and NY Rangers.

Jake Gardiner hitting the 40 point mark is also noteworthy. First Leafs defenseman to do so since Phaneuf in 11-12.

The four players with over 60 points -- all drafted by the Leafs -- is, I'm pretty sure, more than any other team in the league.

Enjoy the early golf season Kane.

Allegedly a home game for Buffalo. Allegedly.

This post is so Kadri.

Philipp Grubauer will be Washington's starter tonight. Not having to face Holtby is good but Grubauer's stats this season have also been fantastic (11-6-2, 2.14 GAA, .924 Sv%).
