Explain this to me

From the rulebook, probably the right call I guess.

[Insert cheeky retort about calling the letter of the law]
Pretty sure the puck was already in the net by the time he got into Engvall space, but whatever.

Yeah, thats why I threw the "I guess" in there. It had no effect on the play, but that's how they can justify it.

Last thing you wanna do is miss the net in those 6 on 5 situations. Marner missing his ate up most of that shift. Unfortunate.
And then Rielly missed the net too. Oh well. I think it's good they get a break now. They need it.

Rielly should have had a couple goals.

I called him out for his turnovers, but Rielly was good on the offensive side of things.

I mentioned this before, but the team really misses having another offensive option on the back end to split those minutes with him.

I was already not thinking about this game anymore,  and then I hear they score twice to make it 4-3.  LOL

STupid disssallowed goal, and that 4th goal by Andersen with the rebound.

Hopefully the break gives everyone (Matthews, Campbell, Simmonds) time to heal up, and for the coaching staff to review any necessary changes for the second half.

Haha.

Matthews is a huge concern for me. The PP is nothing with him not shooting.
Campbell needs to get healthy as well and Simmonds will give them a big boost.

It was encouraging to see Matthews try the one-timer when his stick broke.  But ? and really this was inevitable ? he looks a couple of notches below his torrid self during the points streak so I also hope a few days off (and therapy?) helps his injury.

That would be Rasmus Sandin.  Sort of.  Possibly.

They have given this goal to Tavares. The only reason I can think that is the case might be because JT?s stick is touching the puck and Willy shot JT?s stick and puck together. Can?t really see it that clearly.

Have to trade for a goalie now.

Hutch is done. He can never play for the Leafs again.

Andersen has looked not good and gets hurt a lot.

Campbell is permanently hurt.

Need someone who can play and not get hurt.

Nylander was a monster for most of the last 6:30.

Thats not going to win on most nights. Problem with this team and some of these players I think their ego is bigger than the team. Give er every shift not here and there and I don't care who you are and if you're not willing to do that they should be sat. I thought Keefe would be better than Babcock in that regard that but he's disappointed with his decisions and accountability.
