Carlton, can you re-file this thread?

Cut from the world team? Not exactly an endorsement...

It's the Russians, though. He could very well have been cut because he was going to sign an NHL contract.

Also: Washington, Pittsburgh, Tampa players were all available.

Doesn't look like he's wearing 66.

I hope they don't feel obligated to play him if he's not up to par. It felt like with Oz this year they owed him the ice time even though he wasn't earning it.

If Babcock likes him, chances are he?s a keeper.  We?ll see about that.  Meanwhile...

He doesnt need skating lessons from Barb but he does needs some defensive work aggression help. The guy can fly though.
Everybody can benefit from Barb, even the quick guys. Always room for improvement.

Found this. The guy looks fast. Has a long stick. Decent puck handler. Looks more impressive than I expected. Of course one has a tendency to look good in highlight packages.

I can see them trying him wth JT and Marner while Hyman is out. Def a top 9 guy who could be on the 2nd PP. Is he going to wear 66 for the Leafs??
