Leafs @ Stars - Jan. 25th, 8:30pm - TSN4, TSN 1050

Nifty!

Marner could?ve probably scored there too, but elected to pass where Kadri would?ve been 100% sure.

Ferraro talking about generating offence from good defensive posture... Babcock is standing a little taller.

Too many men for Dallas: whistle. Face off at centre.
Too many men for Toronto: penalty, baby.

I wish the crew explained why Dallas' wasn't a penalty. They just said something like "sometimes it's not a penalty".

Marner really sold it. Bishop went for the glorious stack.

Gardiner has points in 5 straight games now. He's looked pretty good alongside Hainsey from what I've seen. Ferraro brought up the interesting point that the Leafs might want to keep them together even when Rielly and Zaitsev come back. It'd be almost the exact same thing that happened last season when Rielly went down with an injury at basically this same time. Gardiner took his spot alongside Zaitsev and the two looked real good. Jake probably doesn't get enough credit for turning our season around then. Prior to his injury that Rielly-Zaitsev pairing was getting scored on almost every single game. Babcock ended up using the Gardiner-Zaitsev pairing for the rest of the season and Rielly played on the 2nd pair with Carrick.

Obviously, Rielly hasn't been struggling this season like he was last season. But it's still a good problem to have.

Well, that was a good road period.  Actually it would have been a good home period.  As far as periods go, speaking in even broad terms, it was good.  Period.
