Probably not. I've said the same thing about eliminating fighting. Until someone pointed it out, no one would really notice.

EDIT: That being said, I think they're right when they say the focus should be on looking at the goalies' equipment before changing the net.

Nope not at all but someone would leak it and then look out!

They were monitoring goalie equipment for awhile - I remember Kris King was one of the guys going around measuring pads and stuff. Did they just stop doing that? (I know they stopped talking about it.) When did they stop? Was it a conscious decision or did they just drift away?

So many questions.

They still do. The talk now is about shrinking it again - especially with there being much better materials out there to protect the goalies so that they don't really need the same sized equipment to avoid injury.

I'm not gonna mention how that defenceman dropping to the ice forced Kadri to hang onto that puck longer than he wanted to on that 2-on-1 and likely prevented a goal.

I swear I'm not!

In that case....Kadri's fault.  Fault lies in whichever player is the Leafs player.

He really should have just put the puck through the player.

That's offense 101.

That was pretty inevitable. Stars have been all over the Leafs this period.

I blame Gardiner. He should have done a better job of breaking up the play from the bench.

Its not like Kadri didn't beat him anyway, and it took a good play from Klingberg to get back and knock the puck away. Yep, it was all dropping to the ice.

Like I said, the key was that Kadri had to delay his pass to get around the defender. If that doesn't happen Kadri gets the pass off earlier and Klingberg skates hard to get back into the play for nothing.

That's absolute bunk. Kadri couldn't pass earlier because the defenceman's stick was in the lane. He doesn't even slide until Kadri goes to his backhand. Kadri was trying to get the defenceman to commit to him, which he did (overly), and Kadri easily beat it. Also if Kadri elects to stop up, there's nothing the defenceman can do to defend it. He basically hung his goalie out to dry. Kadri was committed to the pass, likely because he hasn't been scoring. He also has no idea that Klingberg is there.

That was all Klingberg. The other guy did nothing.
