Leafs @ Stars - Nov. 10th, 8:30pm - SNO, Fan 590

[tweet]664303622537121792[/tweet]

Just to add to this, that .941 Sv% over the past five games is almost identical to his 5v5 Sv% on the season, which is very, very good.

Seventh best among goalies who have played more than five games.

Anyone catch this cheap shot at the Jays on the Stars scoreboard?

Jays beat the Rangers down
Leafs beat the Stars down

I did, it was the most entertaining thing to be happening in the game at the time, I get a kick out of teams give each other some light-hearted chirps via social media.

Good game over all. Reimer was very good. Is Kadri ever going to score again. And Lunchmeat did you honestly think they are going to lose them all. I glad they won, a better fate then the last two games

So, the Leafs are 2-0-0 against Dallas. 1-8-4 against the rest of the league. :P

And the Stars are 0-2-0 against Toronto. 12-2-0 against the rest of the league.

The Leafs also snapped an 8-game point streak for Seguin. Just the 3rd time all season he's been held off the scoresheet.

From http://www.tsn.ca/talent/reimer-rolling-as-leafs-stand-in-1.391867
For his team-leading 11th point of the year, Morgan Rielly captured the puck along the right wall of the Dallas zone and stepped past Stars' first-round pick, Radek Faksa. He dipped deep and around the back of the goal and, with four sets of Stars' eyes watching, found P.A. Parenteau, who stepped out for the pass.

?I like going down the wall like that, especially when I?m on my backhand, because it gives you a chance to make a play,? Rielly said afterward. ?That?s usually the time that I like to go. I like to attack the puck and then the winger, he curls up because he wants to try to block the shot and then I just take the lane down the boards. P.A. made a great play popping out like that. I was hoping he was going to do that the whole time he did. It worked out.?

?I have a rule that when the D?s below the goal line, you?re not allowed to pass it out front, so it?s a good thing he scored,? Babcock said before flashing a grin.

Reimer with a .947 Sv%.

He might not get a star after that second Dallas goal, but by god does he deserve one.

D'oh!!  This team can't even lose right!!  >:(  *stamps feet*

I'm not sure what you mean.

They won wrong?

They're supposed to lose every single game this year, draft Matthews, and then have a 50-win season next year. Didn't you get the memo?

Columbus - 8 points
Toronto - 10 points
Edmonton - 10 points

Edmonton is on pace for their 7th <80 point season in a row.  How is that even possible.  How can a franchise be so bad for so long and not accidentally draft the right player outside of the 1st round.  I don't understand.  If they win the draft lottery and get Matthews I'm going to kill myself...or be really annoyed.  Whichever hurts less.

Edmonton should be eliminated from the Lottery completely for 3 years. Bastedos

Should be a rule, really. Mind you, they'll still end up in the top 3, but could be bumped in the unlikely event three other teams jump ahead of them.
