Why is the ?n? in ?Toronto? on the logo the only solitary letter in lower case?

Because designers in the past are just as bad as some designers in the present. lol. That's how it was on the original '67 logo.

The M in Maple Leafs is also lower case. It was a typeface that used the lowercase style to keep those letters rounded at the top to flow with the arc of the word.

At least it isn't the egregiously misaligned text from '63

Well there you go, I?d never really noticed that on the 67-70 logo before, but then again that was also a little before my time.

You learn something interesting every day around these parts.
