Well, since you asked....
I saw pretty much what you all saw. You turn the puck over in the neutral zone against a team like that and you're going to pay unless your goalie stands on his head...Campbell certainly did not.
What I do miss about watching games live is that you get to see the plays developing...it's a better way to watch a game.
Holl is playing himself off the roster with his bad decisions, but Muzzin was pretty bad with his decisions last night too. Kase is a top-6 winger if Bunting is.
Tampa is good.
Thanks Frank, hope you had fun.
So we had a box, and it was catered and everything with a server/bartender. That's the way to watch a Leaf game...VIP gate entrance without a line, elevator right up to the box level. We invited some of our more senior management members to come with us, and they were really thankful to enjoy the whole experience.
The food was actually pretty good...someone told me that Harbour 60 does the steaks for the SBC, and I believe it because they were actually pretty good.
It's also worth mentioning that the Leaf fans know their hockey, and when they see a play developing the noise gets louder...you don't hear that on the TV broadcasts.
Anyway, most of you have been to games far more often than I have...but for me, seeing Matthews practicing his shot in warm-up live is a pretty special thing. The speed of the game is really something these days...and watching Tampa transition to offense after those turnovers...it was just seconds after the turnover that the puck was in the net...like they were skating south, turnover, then they turn north with the new possession and within like 3 seconds the puck is behind Campbell. It's just amazing to see that play happen live in front of your eyes. Professional hockey players are pretty good at playing hockey.
