I think Booth gets a contract somewhere next year.

Seems as though that most of the guys who have gotten credit for all of their "Effort" during the collapse are guys playing for jobs.

Guys in contract years...

I don't mind it so much with a guy like Kadri where he's more or less been consistent all year. A guy like Booth, though, who only showed up after the season was already over? Another team can have him.

Canes are losing to Wash, too. Leafs are going to use up half of their 4-point cushion over Carolina tonight at this rate.

A needless winning streak in these last several games would be such a Leafs move.

Page and a half GDT.

Just want to ake the opportunity to say thanks to Carlton for sticking with these GDTs, even through this whole mess. That's pure dedication and class.

Yes, good work. And this is the first post on the second page that I see.

They quit on the season and now they are not quitting on the season.  They do this because they hate us.

Or something like that?

Also I don't care for David Booth to be honest.  I get that he was injured to start the year but his production didn't start until after the trade deadline.  That does bother me.  He had 5 points in 39 games and now has 8 points in 15 games.  Sure there is rust that had to come off but his production started long after the team was out of the race and I really wasn't all that impressed with his effort level earlier in the year.  It wasn't like we were watching a guy who was just missing out on a bunch of scoring chances because his timing was off.

We were never falling any lower then where they are now. We will draft fourth. I enjoyed the effort, Reimer was good. Although I thought the top line were trying to be too pretty.

Watched the game-in-6. Nice to see Kadri, Rielly, and Gardiner all get on the scoresheet. The top line looked like it had a shift or two there of classic-them, a rush one way immediately followed by a rush the other.

Phaneuf-Brewer-JVR-Bozak-Kessel had a combined CF% of 29%. Gardiner-Rielly-Komarov-Kadri-Lindstrom were 54%. Sounds about right.

The first line wasnt that bad, trying pretty plays too often, which made them give the puck up.

I was always impressed with his effort level- you just didn't notice him a lot because he was on the 4th line prior to the deadline, not seeing many minutes (and thus his scoring was pretty low).  Now that he's seeing much more time on the ice, he's more noticeable and is getting rewarded for his efforts on the scoresheet.  Not sure how you can let circumstance impact your impression of him.

I actually thought almost all season Booth didn't look bad, he just had limited minutes and was pretty snakebitten.  I found I noticed him quite a bit for a guy playing mostly 4th line minutes.

Phaneuf having to play with Brewer is just cruel.

Since Horachek took over Rielly has a CF% of 49.5% (PDO 977) and Gardiner has one of 55.7% (PDO 980).  Before that date, Rielly was 47.6% (PDO 101) and Gardiner was 45.1% (PDO 979).  Both have identical .64 P/60 at 5v5 since Horachek took over as well (which is down from .89 for Rielly and up from .59 before for Gardiner).
