My guess is, privately, they already know which direction they're going and that they already have similar views of what the next step is. I think everything we've seen is just posturing, one way or the other.
I'm going to suggest the wheels are aready in motion on this, and unless the wheels fall off last minute, the Leafs are going to land Luongo. From everything I've read and watched on the subject it just makes sense for both teams to get this done.
Well, it makes sense for Vancouver, but for us, yes we could use the talent, but the contract doesn't make sense. I know this thread has debated this ad nauseum but I still believe we should get a cheaper alternative for a shorter duration. I think Scrivens can come up and become our goalie of the future if given a chance, but we have to let him and Reimer develop some more at the NHL level.
