Marner with an amazing play and Murray just going post to post multiple times.

okay, THAT was the awesomest PK of the season (pending completion)

Marner for Selke?  Ja, I think he needs to be in that convo.

The double minor for high-sticking is even worse when you consider the injuries could be prevented from wearing better protective gear, such as a cage or other protection.

Yes, yes, i know it'll get in the way of the face-punching.

I'm in the camp that they should all wear cages just like they did as kids.

It's hockey there is so much stuff in the game where an injury could occur. Where do you draw the line? Going to put everyone in body armour? Players need to control their sticks etc if not to the box. That wasn't even a high stick it was an errant stick as Robertson was hunched over. 2 players fighting for the puck. I can see a 2 min penalty for that for not controlling your stick but like I said 2 guys fighting for the puck. Seen way worse than that and only 2 minutes. Some players don't like wearing visors and a cage is worse. I didn't care to wear one as I thought it hindered my vision when fighting for the puck or handling it at times.

But did you grow up playing in one?  All these guys did.  If the league mandated them I bet you a bunch of guys would breathe a sigh of relief ... in private.

No I didn't no one wore one back then. I started wearing one when I was older playing adult hockey and like I say seemed to hinder my ability to handle the puck, fogging up at times. I'm sure they are better nowadays. Tough call but I think hits from behind head shots are what needs to be addressed. But now you're going to get me going on the leagues DOPS. League is clueless when it comes to suspensions. Not strict enough and doesn't deter anyone.

NHL officiating at its finest.  Calls are 7-2 in favour of Dallas.  Dallas grabbing the Leafs on every play but the score is 3-0 so nothing getting called

Yep absolutely horrendous.

I (mildly) criticized Murray last game.  No beef from me tonight.

It'll be hard not to give him the MotM.  Sandin right now is my HM, even though Marner has been fantastic and I think Matthews' great hustle at the end of that frantic PP to negate a SH rush might have been a turning point.

There are very few players not deserving of accolades in this game.  The shot total is a bit tilted and that is largely powerplay driven

Too sloppy and too many giveaways this period. Murray's been great but we've been lucky with some great opportunities by the Stars squandered.
