Marlies Talk

Lashoff's been cleared to play for a week now and he's been practicing with the team for over 2 weeks I think. So I think it's safe to say he's 100%. Eakins wouldn't be messing with a winning line-up if he wasn't.

Could be someone is banged up, maybe Blacker is still having trouble. Lashoff, by all accounts, has been a leader for them from what the Marlie players have said so I can see why they'd want to get him in.

They've got 2 1/2 series to go. I'd try to get Lashoff into game shape as well. If someone else goes down, they've got that quality depth game ready. And Lashoff, being one of their best, could really help them as the series get tougher.

I think he's been ready for a while but he wasn't for the clear day roster so he had to wait until injuries set in to get a shot. Because of that, he might be a little more game ready than a guy typically coming back from injury during the season as I'm sure their taxi squad has been scrimmaging. Let's hope for that. If he can get his timing soon, that will be a top notch backend they'd be dressing.

I live 30 min from the rink in Abbotsford. I might try and go to Game 5 - and
from the looks of it on LeafsTV I might be the only one.

Calgary Farm team (Canuck fans hate Calgary) vs Toronto Farm team (need I say anything about the Canucks fans here...?)

No wonder it's not drawing flies.

Let's give credit where credit is due.  The Marlies have a lot of depth.  It was a tough call to pull Percy when Blacker came back.  I have no idea who sits now that Lashoff is back.  Mueller was upset (understandably) when he was a healthy scratch until Ashton was injured.  I had not even realized that Colton Orr has been a healthy scratch up to this point.

Kudos to Leafs management for having a deep base of talent.  Even more impressive is that most of the Marlies are prospects with good potential and not journeyman AHL lifers.

Looks like the streams for this one aren't working. Too bad.
Yeah it's a shame, thought with the games in Abbotsford on LeafsTV that a stream would have been easier to get.

Oh and it is indeed Blacker who came out for Lashoff as others suggested. Marlies have started slow with one shot in the first twelve minutes.

It might work once the other AHL game is done OT, since they probably come from the same person/same AHL live account.

It's possible. But like WIGWAL said, with the game being on LeafsTV you'd think a usual Leafs streamer would get it from that source.

10 shots to 3 for the Heat in the first, final two shots of the Marlies came in the last minute or two of the first.  They need to step it up in the second and third.

Well they decided not to show up for the 2nd period either.  Outshot 21-8 with 5 minutes left in the 2nd.  Down 1-0.

Lashoff is a -1.

again ..they look better killing penalties then they do at full strength ...hopefully they've got something for the third...they shouldn't be lacking in energy..

I think men's league games get more fans.

Potvin was right by the way, Leafs game on the St Johns Feed now that it is finished.

Wow they were doing a "section toss" to the crowd and were pretty much handing out whatever they were giving to each person individually.  There is absolutely noone at this game.
