New York Rangers vs Washington Capitals

Those were some pretty weak goals given up by Holtby.

As well as he played against the Bruins the goals he did let in during that series were mostly of the weak variety.

Can't believe I'm agreeing with Healy. First offensive zone faceoff for Ovechkin all night and the Caps almost score.

I honestly can't believe what Hunter is doing with Ovechkin.  He scored the game-winner tonight with only 13:36 in TOI.

6th least TOI on the team, barely ahead of Semin, and the 4th liners.  As mediocre of a year that Ovechkin had, he scored 38 flipping goals in the regular season and you are playing him 13 minutes in the postseason?  Being 5-4 in the postseason might suggest that minimizing Ovechkin's ice-time isn't how you win games.

He'll be back in London soon.

Not sure I see him doing anything really wrong? The Caps are alive and well in the second round of the playoffs.  I think he is not allowing the Rangers to play their style by holding back Ovie as well. It's hard for Rangers to focus on shutting down superstar if superstar is not on ice.

On the other hand, they knocked out the defending champs and are playing the #1  seed pretty tight right now so it's tough to argue with the results.

Yeah, it's hard for me to argue their success right now and by all accounts Ovechkin is buying in.

Also, he'll have a lot in the tank when they really need him.

You might be on to something here.  Kind of like rope-a-dope.

I'll never get why Leafs players like Kessel were ripped for not talking to the media a few times, and Crosby is ripped for being a baby, but you hardly read much in the mainstream hockey press about Tortorella being a baby and having 10 second scrums because he's in a bad mood half of the time.

Wow they just totally cut off coach's corner and went to commercials.  Wonder how pissed Don is going to be.
