I actually kind of look forward to seeing a bunch of people really freak out and overreact if the Leafs don't make a deal of any significance today.

For the record, I'm not calling for Burke's head or anything if we do nothing... It might actually be the smart thing to do but I do stand behind saying I'm losing interest.

Losing interest because Brian doesn't make a trade?

I kind of look forward to those same people getting all huffy and puffy if the team doesn't make the playoffs. What a bunch of jokers.

Yes... I think a fringe team ought to be buying or selling... Doing nothing is very uninteresting.

Losing interest because this team can't even luck it's way in to a decent impact player.

Here's a question for all of you watching TV in Canada: what, exactly, are the trade deadline shows talking about right now?  It appears only one trade has been consummated so far today.

So much filler. So much. I've stopped really paying attention.

Remember, better to make no trade than make a bad trade, and, from the sounds of things, it's only bad trades out there right now.

I'm not watching but if past years are any indication when it's slow they start talking about trades that have taken place pre=deadline and then just general NHL stuff.

I think that only really holds true if you're happy with the way things are. I think a team looking for things to change can be helped more by a "bad" trade than you might think.

Thanks for the responses all.  If I were programming the thing I would find a way to introduce cheerleaders/"fully loaded" material to appeal to the 18-35 male demog.

That's true but I have to say that Grabo for a 1st would not have been a bad trade. I like Grabo @ 2.9 but not at 5.5. I'd live with extending Grabs if it also meant you'd have him for a run this year but I don't see this team turning it around.

Well if the deals aren't there what's Burke supposed to do?

SOMETHING! ANYTHING!

NOW IS THE TIME TO PANIC!!!!!!!!

Wow... How many of you are brain washed by Burke's crap? How could he possibly have turned down a good deal for James Reimer?  Either there was never such a deal to speak of or Burke is a complete fool
