They are supposed to be announcing a world tour guys - wherever in Canada they go I'm there. I'm a huge John Squire fan / nerd

Yeah likewise, they've all of of course taken to social media to proclaim it the 'best gig ever'.

I have 'I am the Resurrection' on repeat here.

The proper one with Squire's solo I hope

But of course!

Brown is a legend too. A friend's brother was a roadie for them back in the day, Mani would come up to his house in Scotland and party for days when we where still in high school, was always good to young guys like us.

I'll probably see them in SF and if not I'll fly down to LA whenever they are on the West Coast.

That's awesome dude and yeah they are all legends if you ask me - a special band. I'm very anxious to hear the new album. You listen to all their solo stuff? Did Mani leave Primal Scream or just take a hiatus?

Yeah I have all the solo stuff too and Mani left to go back with TSR, but I don't think things are over with Primal Scream for good necessarily, good parting terms as far as I know and the Scream have replaced him for now with a girl from My Bloody Valentine as they are supporting TSR during these comeback shows I believe.

Oh ok that makes sense. Was that 'Roses gig your mates were at the one with Beady Eye opening? Out of all their solo stuff and my Squire man-crush aside Brown's Unfinished Monkey Business is my personal favorite. "There are nooo lions in England...no no nooo"....

Beady Eye, The Wailers, Professor Green and Hollie Cook I think made up the opening when last they mentioned it, haven't actually spoken to them in great detail since the gig to find out if that had in fact been the opening lineup on the night, Primal Scream was the night before I believe.

Ian Brown - Whispers is probably the pick of all the solo stuff for me.

What a card eh - what I would give...

Indeed, all in good time hopefully.

Did you get the Legacy Edition of TSR a few years ago when it came out? Was mixed a bit differently - they boosted the bottom end <Mani> by a noticeable amount and took off some of the toppy / brightness. They also included all their music videos and the filmed Blackpool show from '89, as well as the Garage Flowers stuff <Pearl Bastard>. It was expensive but a must have

I did not, a few buddies did and loved it, I'm happy enough with what I have from them right now. If this comeback really stokes the flames of my interest in them as much as it likely will, I'll probably pick it up.

Believe this or not but I gave an old guitar I had the Pollock / Squire treatment and sent it to the John Squire fansite that was around when 'Time Changes Everything' came out...lol and I never got any kind of response or the pickguard back <that's all I sent>. Like I said - huge mancrush <and loser>

The Blackpool footage alone is worth it - the Cressa era!

I don't mess around Wig!

Watching some of the footage on youtube, and reading some of the reviews, the shows have been apparently great.  Squire's guitar playing is fantastic.  Love the little bits of songs like Day Tripper he throws into this:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=L5IDlOwVvFE

Thanks for that - Squire is awesome. You ever hear the bootleg of him doing 'Champagne with Oasis at Knebworth?

So I decided to man up and post something on YouTube for the first time. A cover of Cathy's Clown by the Everly Brothers. Hope you all enjoy :)
