Saw the Roger Waters Wall concert tonight in Toronto. I had already seen it when he came through in 2010 and wanted to go again.

It was fantastic... again.

Wish I was there. Looking forward to the release of the Story Of Wish You Were Here on Tuesday.

The previews look great.

Oi Wendel did you pick that up?

Yeah, I picked it up last week. I liked the making of Dark Side Of The Moon dvd better but it was still pretty good. You could tell that Gilmour was having a hard time talking about Syd Barrett.

Have you seen it yet?

Yeah just watched it on Monday - not much new info but I liked it anyway. Storm's stories were interesting I liked how he was more included, Hipgnosis really played such a big part in developing the Floyd mystique. Gilmour was probably the closest with Syd out of all of them but yeah you could tell he is still kind of haunted by what happened. I hope they continue along and do one of these for Animals next.

I agree, I hope they keep going as well. I'd love to see the making of Animals. I think I read awhile back that you weren't a big fan of The Wall or maybe I'm wrong but I love that album. I can't see them doing one of these for that one though. They seem to go over every track on an album when they do these and The Wall would take forever. Never mind the artwork etc..

Bob Ezrin has done some great work though and it'd be interesting to see his side of things. I know that it was his idea to put the kids on Another Brick In The Wall Part 2. Roger just wanted to do it as the first part and end it.

Either way, I listened to the Wish You Were Here cd a couple of days ago and it will never cease to amaze me with how much effort Pink Floyd put into an album when they were so young. They're still mind blowing to me and I've heard them a billion times.

Honestly, Gilmour and Waters could be 90 and in wheelchairs and I'd still watch them play Money to see them hit the notes perfectly again.

Wasn't me mate I love the Wall! I saw it here the first time around in '10! I think they have something special planned for the Wall "story / making of"  - I'm 99.9% sure Roger is going to put out a BluRay of this tour (sounds like it will the show that Gilmour & Mason made appearances during C Numb) as well as the footage they had commissioned from the original 80s shows (IIRC Earls Court). The original plans for the movie was to include footage from the actual shows so they taped a bunch of them but did nothing with it after they abandoned the idea - fans have been begging for them to be officially released for a long time and last I heard they were almost finished post production. I'd imagine there will be some interviews included (absolutely Ezrin he has a couple of songwriting credits as well as producing the album with Gilmour & Waters) and Gerald Scarfe and obviously Gilmour / Mason / Waters. Events that happened in Canada play a big part in the Wall - even evident in some of the artwork. I'd especially like to see / hear them legitimize what for the people who don't know or realize!

Animals was the beginning of the end & when Waters basically takes over - Gilmour was the only other band member to get a songwriting credit (Dogs). It's got an edge to it that no other Floyd album has & this tension really came out in their playing. Gilmour kills it Wright too (Sheep). I'm pretty skeptical about their willingness to discuss this album / period but I really hope they do - Animals is my favorite Floyd album!

Shine on Wendel!

Just saw Pierre Bensusan live in concert tonight. The guy is a freaking musical genius. He's also an incredibly funny and witty man, and I had the good pleasure to meet him! Just astounded right now! :D

I wouldn't put it past DG or RW to be involved with this silently tho...we could very well see PF minus Rick at the closing ceremonies.

Well, that's reason #3 to watch these olympics... #2 was women's field hockey (Dutch team) and #1 was women's hurdles - In case you're not keeping up.  :)
