Glad the Leafs won't have to play the Islanders next round (assuming they advance, of course). That's a well coached team and
they have that extra "we don't need you" motivation against the Leafs. Not that Columbus will be any picnic.

I'm pretty sure a lot of that is PDO. I know people are saying they're great defensively but I really think they are seriously out performing their talent level and I'm shocked it hasn't come back down to earth. I think next year they're Patrick Roy's Avs.

That's what I tend to think. I'm not overly shocked that the Isles won, but I would have expected it to go at least 6. I thought the Pens core would have had at least one or two home wins in them.

I love how Kypreos makes excuses for Crosby saying it's not about him, it's about how good the Isles were. Funny, didn't hear him say that about Matthews and other guys last year. No excuses. He had 1 assist in 4 games and only 6 shots on net. Terrible.

Isles coach Barry Trotz has done an incredible job getting the team to buy into his system.  It not only showed during the regular season, but in these playoffs as well.

Happy for the Islanders.  Not since the 1980's (during their Cup winning years) have they swept an opponent.  Something here sounds good.
