First star in last night's game. I don't mind bringing up the trade because it continues to bear fruit for us. We got a known quantity in Kessel for the unknown of draft picks. Looking at the league leaders this morning, Kessel is tied for 10th in the NHL in scoring, 42 points, while Sequin is tied for 46th (with Jiri Tlusty) at 29 points. For me, the key thing is that we didn't trade for a 30 year old Phil Kessel; we got him at a very young age. He's only 25 years old now and still probably 2-3 years away from becoming a total player.
I know this will piss off all the nay-sayers, but Burke did the right thing with this trade.
