Preseason: Canadiens @ Leafs - Sept. 25th, 7:00pm - SN1, TSN 1050

Habs are garbage. No Matthews or Marner they get 2 PPs to 0 and we outshot them 9-5. They have their two "stars" playing too Suzuki and Fraudfield. I predict a 75 point season for these losers

Just a minor observation, but I thought it was interesting that Amber and Friedman were not wearing ties. Definitely a deliberate choice. I like it.

For a 4-0 hardly anyone has really stood out imo. Bunting looking good & Ho-Sang is getting chances, but that's all I can say for now.

I know it?s just the first preseason game, but I was way more impressed with Gabriel than I ever thought I would be.

I like Gabriel better than Sabourin, but if he's on the NHL lineup for anything other than one of those inconsequential beat-up Winnipeg nights, every forward had better be injured.

Here?s a fun example ?gravity?

Nylander gains the zone easily after flashing that unpredictable weave in his first shift: lots of room in the NZ, they are hoping to close him off with two D shoulder to shoulder to force him outside

Nylander holds the puck hip pocket: dangerous pass or shot in the same position, d creeps in to shade the net and the slot

Kerfoot times his entry with Nylander, skates into that wall and drags his defender in to confuse reads and sticklift the closer defender out of the shooting lane

Mikheyev times his entry with Nylander going from 0 to roadrunners
to the shortside post as the ?fake? and drags his defender into nowhere useful (literally into the goal post lol)

I can?t tell who chose to backcheck attack Willy but he was coming in late from a very useless angle and once he committed, Willy victimizes his silly decision.

Suzuki up top cutting off the low to high recognizes too late that the Habs committed 4 guys to covering essentially two players; all Habs are on the puck side of the ice, giving Muzzin all the spacetime he needs after sneaking on from the line change

Suzuki is in for a long season if they expect him to take on every team's #1 line. Kid will be eaten alive a lot of nights. They're gonna miss Danault more than they realize
