PS: Red Wings @ Leafs - Oct. 3rd, 7:30pm - SN, Fan 590

Just looking, Kozun has 210 points across 323 AHL regular and playoff games and over a PPG pace in junior.

Fairly consistent across his AHL career with 48, 46, 58, 46 points

I got got home from work and turned it on to see Phaneuf score.  A few shifts later Percy made a couple of really nice defensive plays taking Zetterberg out of the play.  I still think Percy might be better off starting in the AHL and playing heavy minutes but if he's really showing that he is close to NHL ready.

Also Ashton has been invisible in his last game as a Leaf.  Really disappointing that he couldn't show more in his 2:54 of TOI.

His foot speed is the only thing that worries me at times, everything else is really good.

Komarov laying flat out on the ice on the PK trying to block a shot in the preseason, can't underestimate how much we missed this dudes team play last year.

Leafs don't look as scrambly in their own this pre-season. Hope they can carry it over.

I've noticed they've been trying to pass the puck out and actually transition with speed, rather than the typical desperation off the glass and out.

I think the Leafs have actually played pretty well tonight. It's making me optimistic. Which is always worrying

Dubas effect. [emoji6]

He's no doubt ideally a 3rd pairing, but Polak has impressed me tonight. He reminds me of a bit of Mark Fraser, but with much better mobility.

What a dumb argument. You don't need "muscle" dressed cos you have Yzerman, Datsyuk etc. The Leafs don't have them so they should dress Orr?

Welcome to Sportsnet and the next 12 years.

Kozun should make this team.
Percy should start as a injury fill-in with the final decision deferred.
Nylander shows loads of potential but definitely needs another year.
I think this is Santorelli's best game.
Leivo is either injured or losing steam.  I think another year in the A is in store.
Frattin's been pretty invisible - not good for him.
I have a feeling Kadri is gonna have a big year.

I think leivo has proven enough in the preseason to be a reg season start.

Holland for me has been a bit invisible of late.

I agree he's looked good, but he's really only had 1 year in the A.  I think a bit more seasoning will do him good.

I haven't seen all games, but I've been happy with Holland.  I think he's had numerous chances, but just hasn't gotten it to go.

Kozun's speed really is incredible. It looks like Sportsnet is putting the feed on fastforward when they focus in on him. Dude might be faster than Kessel.

Its hard to tell cause he's such a little guy. He can definitely move though.

Its nice to see Bernier so planted, albeit against a weak effort from the wings. He's clearly the #1 goalie, as he's been since the 2nd month of last season.
