I don't know if Bunting can simply jump back in the lineup, specially the way that Knies is playing.

But we will find that thursday...
Yup, that's for Thursday. Let's win this one tonight! Well let's hope they win this one tonight!

I find it absolutely hilarious that the narrative now on Twitter is that the leafs are a dirty team and their only chance at winning this series is to injure all the TB players.

Cool.

They?re posting crap like this now:

lol why amplify posts that get 2 likes from a guy with 36 followers?

I really wouldn't pay any attention whatsoever to what some random with 36 followers posts on twitter.

To be honest is fell into a pretty deep Twitter hole since the convoy. I finally deleted my account and my stress level has dropped dramatically since. It?s amazing how narratives on Twitter don?t really exist outside of Twitter.

I?ve only been clicking the links here and seeing those replies about the injury thing.

I used it only for hockey trades/rumours, then found it useful during the pandemic, but since deleted it after muskox took over and couldn't be happier.

The way of the Raptor works. I'll take it.

I don't think he has a choice really. Tavares and Nylander haven't been good especially in their end.

People are always going to hate the Leafs.  It doesn't matter what the Leafs do, or how they win, someone will find a fault with what they have done and key off it.  It's frustrating, but that's what is going to happen.  This is the thing that makes being a Leaf fan so hard.  When they are doing bad, the people who dislike them pile on, and when they are doing well, the people who dislike them discredit them.  It has been this way for a very long time, and there is nothing you can do about it, so you have to accept it and come here to talk with your support group.

The example I use is the Gordie Howe/Bobby Orr versus Wayne Gretzky argument.  Back in the 80's there was a contingent of hockey fans who didn't think Gretzky was all that great because he didn't fight.  The argument was that Gordie Howe and Bobby Orr would drop the gloves and Gretzky needed someone to do that for him, so he couldn't be the greatest player. Didn't matter what Gretzky did, that was their opinion of him.  It's the same thing with the Leafs.  Doesn't matter what the Leafs do, those that dislike them are going to spin it as a negative. Even if the Leafs win a cup, there will be a bunch of caveats that come out.

It's not like Leaf fans don't do the same sometimes though.  Leafs totally would have won the cup if Kerry Fraser had just called high sticking on Gretzky.

7:30 game tonight, which usually does not go well for the Leafs (see G1). Maybe fudge their phone clocks, Rogers/Bell.

Of the myriad reasons I want them to win tonight, the biggest is I don?t want to stew on a loss for three days before the next game. Two days of negative press etc. after a loss is quite enough.

Hoping for a better effort than Sunday. We didn't generate much offence hopefully a little more of game 2. Team over the last few years hasn't learnt to put teams away or make things easier on themselves. Gotta make quick work of teams. I know TB is no slouch but that killer instinct has to come into play at some point. We'll see tonight. Love to see them end this in 5 and get a bit of a break. First 10 minutes are going to be crucial and hopefully the refs let them play.

I generally agree with the comment but I wouldn't put down their poor game last time to a lack of effort.  Maroon said it might have been TB's best game of the year (outside of Vasi ... and of course he would never say that publicly!).  I believe him. TB executed their game plan perfectly; their goalie let them down.  Hopefully that's a trend.

Obviously its better to be up 3-1 regardless but I think the extra day off is going to be a mental issue until the team wins a round whether they are up or down.

Yeah. That was more about me than them. 😉

Anyone think we're getting outcoached? Why does our D keep giving up the line so easily while it's such a pain for us? So far a continuation of Game 3.
