They look like worldbeaters in the offensive zone.  Elsewhere ...

Frustrates me to no end. I just don't get it how brutal they are.
How hard is it to improve on?

I was reminiscing about the good ol' days...like the '81-82 season where the league average team was scoring 4.01 goals per game and Billy Smith won the Vezina with an .898 sv% and 2.97 GAA...wonder what made me think of that?

Marner.  What a lazy play.  Gives up a penalty shot.  These defensive efforts are unacceptable.

The problem is interest.  They just want to win 7-5.

Nylander sets up a shift for Tavares, Matthews, and the two shots we fire are Rielly and Barrie from above the circles with no traffic :\

Leafs dominating.  But trailing.    Bad giveaways and goalie not making any saves, theme of the last 3 games.

Not sure I?d call this dominating. I haven?t been counting but I?d say the rangers have had more quality chances.

Rielly takes a lot of low threat wristers from the blueline. Take away the giveaways and it was a good period. Not great because they gave up too many quality chances.

Toronto has twice the expected goals so far according to MoneyPuck (1.15 vs 0.6).
5v5 is quite even though. The difference appears to be Nylander's handful of shots.

Leafs would be crushing this if we didn't insist on feeding soft passes up the middle of our DZ.
