Liljegren out with Rielly in the final minutes. Two goal lead might have made that an easier call but still interesting.
Probably but they had Liljegren killing penalties too so....

Well, offence is starting to get things right. Defence needs to get there now.

Those were some weird goals by DET, or, I should say, the result of some really good individual efforts.  I thought the defense played pretty well overall.  But yeah, 4 goals doesn't speak to that.

Agree..overall they played well...some weird goals..

Dermott with just 4 shifts in the 3rd period, benched for basically the last 10 minutes of the game. Don't really recall his game being that bad tonight but doesn't seem like Keefe was impressed with his time with Rielly.

Liljegren on the other hand had his best game in the NHL. Leafs held a 23-5 shot attempt advantage with him on the ice. Also had a career high in ice-time at 17:19.

I don't think Keefe was a fan of that lil dump pass to Matthews that ended up in the back of our net.

What a struggle with this team. With 12 seconds left, Leafs on a PP and face on in the wings zone I texted my buddy "not even the Leafs could blow this" and the Wings waltz down the ice and nearly tie the game up lol.

That's our team....

Liljegren and Sandin's familiarity with eachother really shows. I thought they were both great. Nice to to JT finally rewarded on the scoresheet too.

I'd like to applaud Tavares for saying that he, personally, has to be better and then following it up with two really strong games. This last one especially.

Matthews seemed disengaged. He's doing a lot of things flat footed, especially low in his own zone. Opposing players are attacking his hands and separating him from the puck.
