This Johnson.  He is rather awesome.

From what I've read, he seems like a pretty good Marner comparable. Small (although Marner's bigger), fast, insanely talented, high intensity player who competes hard in both zones.

Are you trying to convince me that they should take Marner over Hanifin?  :)  I'm assuming Strome goes to AZ.

Hah, I'd probably still rank Hanifin 1st of those 3. Might I've been flipping back and forth between Marner and Strome.

I want them all.

6-2. Starting to finally feel confident about my pick for the Stanley Cup champs. How Detroit took them to 7 is beyond me.

Prust crosschecks Bishop. What the hell? The Habs should be getting penalties for even kind of breathing on Bishop in games 3 and 4.

That's 6 straight games with the Habs not being able to score more than 2 goals. They're a mediocre team with questionable depth that received exceptional goaltending this season. If Price was merely good to very good this season, they would have been a bubble team. If he was average, they would have been in the bottom 10.

I kind of got the impression their game styles were too similar and the redwings have a fair bit of experience with the possession game.  Only one team can have the puck at a time.  the habs are a different animal again...and this series is by no means over..but i don't think montreal matches up as well against tampa.

Sounds about right. I think Watson was one of the refs from that gongshow when Tucker climbed into the Sens bench, so there you go.

That's right I'm calling Watson out from a game over a decade ago.

An elephant never forgets...wait what? How am I typing without opposable thumbs?

Detroit is one of the best checking teams in the league- they give the opposition very little time and space.  I feel like they would take ANY team to 7 just because of their style of play.  They can play well against both physical and speedy teams, as they have the horses to handle both.

Detroit had Tampa on the ropes a couple of times... up 2-1 in the series and 2-0 with 5 mins to go in Game 4- then Tyler Johnson gets cross-checked from behind and becomes a god- 2 goals and an assist in a 3-2 OT win.  Again, up 3-2 in the series- but I think they started to run out of gas trying to play such a tight checking style and I'm glad Tampa prevailed (our Nashville pick be damned).

Surprised the Habs broke down with undisciplined play.  Those are things one doesn't do in playoff hockey, and if it happens so shall one pay the consequences.

The Lightning were very effective and up to now, they've been the superior team so far in this series.
The Habs need to wake up or else they won't win another game never mind the series.

CBC screw ripping on Bishop for maybe embellishing a bit to get a call after Plekanec tripped him. Did they not watch the previous games in this series?

It's painful listening to them fawn over Montreal as if they are saints.  Honestly it's painful.

Or any of Price's career?
