Sabres @ Leafs - Jan. 15th, 7:30pm - TSN, SN 590

The #leafs management box certainly doesn't think Matt Moulson's shot went in the net on the second #sabres goal.

TSN showed it clearly going in right?

Apparently the Sabres feed are themselves questioning whether it's a goal. I watched the replay just now, hard to tell but it very well might have went off both posts and stayed out - it was such a bullet.

Since Franson has all those PP points from being staple on the 1st PP unit, and now being replaced by Gardiner, maybe now would be the time to move him - when his stats sell him.

Where is Burke when you need him, this kind of trade is right up his alley. He'd sell the crap out of Franson and get us a star in a bigger deal with a "kicker".

Plus we'd have a whole lotta found wallets too.

In the second replay they showed you could see the net bulge next to the top of the left post.  It was good, but just.

I'd take another Bozak found wallet.

Lol, I hear ya. But I've just got the feeling that Franson is going to want big money, and his foot speed and play this year hasn't impressed much. He's got points though, so my thought is that he isn't going to ever look better when he's on the block.

They showed the netting move, but, that's about as conclusive as they got. That means it's unlikely it didn't go in, but, it was hard to say with any sort of absolute proof.

Ah okay I must've missed that one

Yeah that wallet had a crisp $100 dollar bill inside it

I've also started to think about who we could acquire in a trade to replace Franson if he were traded.

I want to keep Phaneuf, Rielly and Gardiner for sure, but the rest I could live with trading, provided the returns are good.

Well, if Reilly's play had him playing more minutes in a second pairing, then Ranger would draw back in. I thought Ranger's play was steadily improving.

Is Brennan worth bringing up from the Marlies?

Franson would get a 2nd round pick maybe and Fraser a 4th or something?

I don't want to give up a 4th with Fraser though
