If they can convert this big scoring forward into a defensive stalwart winger to extend the twilight of his career, that'd be pretty okay with me.

What career?

why do we get so excited about the Hobey Baker award, lots of sizzle but no steak.

There is a pretty decent list of really good players who won the Hobey Baker.

Especially recently. Makar, Eichel, Gaudreau... It used to be pretty meaningless (especially early in its life), but now, it is more of an indicator of potential NHL success.

The age you win it at plays a pretty big role in whether it's a sign of potential NHL success. Being the top NCAA hockey player as a teenager like Eichel and Makar were is more impressive than doing it in your draft+4 season like Vesey did.

Freshman Veeti Miettinen is up for the Hobey Baker this year; Cole Caufield is probably getting it though

Sure. All I'm saying is that we shouldn't dismiss the Hobey Baker winner as "lots of sizzle, no steak." It needs to be looked at with a more critical eye.

Love wasting Willy puck stealing efforts

Hyman really isn?t capable of drawing penalties.  Doesn?t seem to matter what happens to him no call

Not a bad effort to start the game but not exactly the response you wanted to only have two shots halfway through the first period
