I mean there have been many reasons for this, but what can Nonis do? Honestly. This team is not this bad.

Fire the G'damn coach and bring in someone who will use the strengths of the team.

I don't remember a Leafs team this bad for this long.  I know there have been worse teams, but I just don't remember them.

I don't remember being this disappointed in a Leafs team. I'm sure I have been, but I don't remember it.

Well I mean, the teams under Maurice and Wilson, while extremely average, were never outplayed this much.  If those coaches could get those teams to be competitive in games (and they were, despite their awful goaltending) there's no reason this team shouldn't be - so really it has to be the coaching strategy.

Maybe someone can help me out here, but I'm pretty sure this is similar to what happened in Anaheim when he was fired?

Dear Leaf players,

Please stop saying "we have to keep trying to play our game." Your game sucks. Try playing someone else's.

Leaf fans everywhere.

San Jose are a pretty good side as well, in fairness. I've liked what I've seen of them so far.

Positives... hmmmm... the 4th line drew a penalty?

Seriously though, they look like they have no legs, that's not coaching strategy to me, unless they're just mailing it in to spite him. The Leafs have had beaucoup trouble against teams that can cycle, and well, San Jose looks like they're pretty good at that.

Coaching can lead to the team being bogged down and appear to have no legs.

The sens game on Saturday is going to be something else with how these two teams are playing right now.

I know, I can't ever remember being this dismal. When you think about it though, Carlyle hasn't even had a full season with this team. In that respect I almost feel bad for him. Then again, Philly fired Laviolette after 3 games. This next little stretch could be his last perhaps.

Yeah, I dunno, professional players should be giving a better effort overall and I'm seeing a fair bit of half heart and brain farts. Changing the coach at this point seems fairly irrelevant to me, face punchers aside and unpopular an opinion as that might be.
