I see bad Hutch is back. Great.

Have absolutely no idea what Dubas sees in this guy. You telling me you can't find a goalie anywhere on the planet that's better than this dud?

As a 3rd or 4th stringer, he?s fine. He?s basically what you expect from a veteran in that role. He just shouldn?t be in an NHL net for anything other than mop up duties.

Hutchison is bad and should feel bad

Matthews needs to be a helluva lot better, too.  That was terrible.  And Silent John and Mute Mitch need to start earning their bucks.

Engvall getting the Ritchie slot now. Nylander getting double/triple shifted to close the period

Down 3-2 against a team that they should be winning against.  Same old story: no killer instinct.

It?s only 5 games but the Leafs need to get more out of Marner and Tavares in particular

That's why I said after the playoff exit that major changes needed to be done. Management too blind to see it. On a happier note best thing to the start of this season is the Habs are winless.

Really the question is whether 34/16/91/88 have what it takes to grab important games by the collar and will their way to a win.  They failed miserably last April and so far tonight they haven't shown it.  Sure, this is early season and not all that important in itself.  But once again they don't look like a team that can dominate.

That?s just embarrassing.  Terrible defensive play but the goalie also needs to make a fricking save

I think the talent is there and it will show up at times but in the end I don't think these guys have the mental fortitude to win when the going gets tough. Games like tonight they can all of a sudden flick the switch and wouldn't surprise me if they do. Problem is at the other end. Hutchinson has to close the door and as I say that it's 4-2.

I fear the answer is no.
