Now, I think it was azzurri who suggested maybe coming back with Andersen again tomorrow?

Normally I'd say no, but only 15 or so shots against tonight and few of them dangerous.  I just might.

Nope. Gotta think longer term.

I disagree early in the season and quiet schedule next week. This will be the second time we play them on the back end of a back to back with Hutchinson in net and the Habs rested. Divisional games are more important. He should have started tonight and gone with Andersen tomorrow. Unfortunately Babcock puts no thought into who to start in these situations.
They won. Frig man there is no pleasing anybody. If they lost with Hutch in net tonight you'd be bitching about him too. Jesus Christ.

Note the time of this goal and where Muzzin was drifting to make this play. He has such good situational awareness on pinches. At this point in the period (less than 8 seconds left, i.e. zero chance of counter attack), he forces a man advantage down low and catches Kane et al off guard and capitalizes on Spezza?s heads up play.

I cannot even muster the energy to laugh at that assertion.

I was so annoyed when Millen said "that goal was ALL Rielly!"

What? what? What about the part where Nylander lugged it up the ice at warp speed then did some fancy dangle fakey slide thing and used gravity/bent space-time to pull in defenders before making the pass?

Just reading through the game thread and wanted to post this.  Nylander with the nice zone entry.  A good cut while maintaining control and feeds Rielly right on his stick with the cross zone pass.

Mullen really is a bad colour guy.  Between his ?They always call that?, ?the book is out on <Insert goaltender>?, calling the Matthews headshot a good hit.....it?s disappointing that 3/4 of Leafs games are called by Millen/Hughson

No big deal, just generating lots of chances for linemates in a 1st line shutdown role. Nylander covered centre duties while Matthews was having a positive experience with the concussion protocol.
