Well, full marks to the Sharks. I think the 4 on 3 in OT showed the Leafs were just out of energy.

Then play the guys that have played less instead of rolling the same core all the time. All the stars up and around 25 minutes. Robertson Mcmann not even half that. PP in OT was putrid.

I saw the second period when they were skating circles around San Jose. It sounds like they ran out of gas in the 3rd and OT.

6 games in 10 days. Just finished a 4 game road trip and playing the 3rd game in 4 nights.

The schedule has been bullshit all year.

I will say though...why no Robertson in OT. Heck even Bobby McMann. His goal scoring ability seems geared toward skating down the side with speed and scoring. Both guys seem like better options when the top unit is completely gassed.

Leafs were tired.

Up 2 to 0....... and then it all got ugly in the 3rd period. For 5 v 5: expected goals 78% in favor of sharks, 11 to 5 scoring differential and 9 to 2 for shots all in favor of sharks.

The Leafs were gassed.

Stolarz lost his net on the two goals against, but he kept it respectable. Celebrini set up five+ grade A opportunities for Will Smith. I guess all Will Smiths are no longer allowed to connect on slappers anymore.

I just wanted to point out how ridiculous last night's TOI distribution amongst the forwards was. A Monday, in early March against a last-place team, and were driving our core into the ground. We have been getting depth scoring of late and they get rewarded with less ice time. Why add any pieces if all we ever do is roll out the same two lines for the past 8 years. It's so frustrating. Why waste a single asset at the deadline? Same shit another year, we do nothing to help our bottom 6 get better nor do we give them an opportunity to contribute.
