The Leafs can?t buy a save from Kallgren in the 3rd
??

Solid defensive period from the team.  Kallgren not having to do anything.  Just joking that Kallgren hasn?t had to do much
Like his game but the D has been a lot better tonight then they have. Lots of rebounds that are getting cleared...just win boys.

I know it?s not over but I don?t think the leafs are playing any better tonight than they do any other night. I also don?t think the goaltending has been overly spectacular. That?s the difference competent goaltending makes.

I think the ?defensive woes? are greatly exaggerated.

Disagree I think they are playing a lot better especially in their own end. And Kallgren has been extremely steady .

And our 3rd line is awesome. For a shutdown line they never seem to be stuck in their end.

Reminds me of hoglund-Reichel-Domi, remember theyd just cycle the puck and maybe they'd get a scoring chance or 2, but you knew when they were on the ice you?d get 45s-min in the oppositions end.

Especially that first year Reichel was so good

Ok. I strongly disagree with that. The leafs have played good enough to win in almost every game in the last month and a bit. They aren?t stuck in their own zone for long stretches.

Kallgren has been steady for sure, but that?s my point, he?s been competent. He hasn?t made any spectacular game saving saves.

convo in my house just now:

Me: So, the emergency call up goalie from the Marlies just got a shutout in his first NHL start.

My son (who, as a lifelong Red Wings fan has always hated Mrazek): Wow, so he's already better than Mrazek.

Not exaggerating...if Mrazek was in net they would have lost 5-3
