Shots are probabilistic events. Dallas got more than a little lucky. The Leafs are working and generating without two of their top scorers and play drivers. Relax.

All events are probabilistic.  What do you mean here?

Some people don?t understand puck luck.

Seems like you?re subscribing all Leafs woes to puck luck.  There are systemic issues that currently exist.

That is an incorrect reading of what I?m saying.

Tavares and Marner should have had 10 goals tonight. Wouldn?t stop shooting directly at the goalie. Bad as it gets right now for this team.

Marner had the top of the nest and hits the goalie. That's the way it was going tonight.

Marner doesn?t have the best of shots.  His lack of finishing ability cost th leafs the game tonight.

Won?t always be the case where that is the difference in the game, he is one player I?d pay up for.  But tonight he should have scored atleast twice.

The battle of the eternal pessimist vs the eternal optimist !

Good game, agree with Herman - we played a good team game, generated more chances than the Stars, unfortunately they scored on their fewer opportunities. It happens some times.

Good god, Marner played an unbelievable game.

It was a serious question.

Yeah, this is where I don't think it's necessarily settled that Marner is better overall than Nylander.

Guys this one was on me. I forgot to update the man of the match and honorable mention for the last game in my chunk thread. I'm supposed to do that before the next game. It won't happen again.

For me, it's beyond settled. Marner is the rare type of player that makes others better around him (JVR, Kadri, even Matt Martin). Nylander is a great complementary player.

Marner will get 9M next year.

It?s odd.  I know if I step out of my lc9 moniker and read without bias I would conclude i am a pessimistic Neanderthal.  Being a life long fan of the leafs and Detroit Lions has done bad things to my sports psyche.

My life psyche provides much optimism, but the negative athletic mentality is dang near leathal.
