Stars @ Leafs - Nov. 2nd, 7:30pm - SNO, Fan 590

I don't know about the rest of you but if I were a team that was in the Patrick Sharp hunt this summer, I'd look at this game as pretty incontrovertible evidence that Lupul is just as good and still available.

Rielly's going to be really good. Looking forward to that.

1 G, 2 A tonite, correct?  He's pretty much already there.

Yeah. I mean more like when he's going to have the kind of support that will really help him shine. As good as he looks now, he'll look better.

Agreed.  And RedLeaf, yes, he's really picked it up several notches this year.  His game and Kadri's seem to have had the most immediate benefits from Babcock.

I think that Kadri just drew his 3rd penalty of the game.

He's really good at that, and he pissed Benn off chirping away.

He looked great last night, and was probably incredibly frustrated with 46 shots on net and 1 goal YTD...2.2 SH%.  His NHL career avg. is 11.7%, which would result in a goal total of 5+ so far this year, and almost a one PPG pace.

It's only an 11 game stretch and really he only has 6 points but he's showing me pretty much everything I wanted to see for an extension at this point.  The effort is there.  He's not an elite faceoff guy but he's been better there.  Unlike some of the other lines the Kadri line has actually been snake bitten with some of their better scoring opportunities not resulting in goals.  I think we end up seeing Kadri's offense start to blossom as the season goes on.

Small sample and all, but last night during the second period, he was 19th in the NHL in faceoffs.

I really don't know why, but there was a Stars fan on twitter last night that kept referring to Lupul as Lupus, given his injury history, I found it funnier than it really should have been.

Even 6 points in 11 games translates to about 45 points over a full season. Considering many of us figured that it would be very difficult for any Leafs forward to crack 50 points by the end of the year that's not bad for someone in a "cold" stretch.

This wouldn't happen if Kadri shaved his facial hair before the game. Plus, he'd skate faster with less air resistance and score way more goals.
