The @MapleLeafs announced today they have signed free agents Calle Ros?n & Andreas Borgman to two-year entry level contracts #TMLtalk

Rosen has of course been rumoured for a little bit now. Borgman's name wasn't brought up in connection to the Leafs before.

PPP had an article up about Borgman earlier today when it was reported that he had signed with an unknown NHL team: http://www.pensionplanpuppets.com/2017/5/16/15646576/toronto-maple-leafs-defence-depth-free-agent-singings-rumours-andreas-borgman

Borgman is another lefty. There just don?t seem to be any righties anywhere in the world. But he is only 21. He is listed at six feet and 205 pounds, and he sounds like a very good prospect for a team looking for a player willing to spend some time in the AHL if he needs it. He leapt from the Allsveskan last year right onto a top team and helped them win the championship.

I'd imagine Holm isn't signing or they'd probably have announced together.

I wonder if the Swedish report that kind of just casually mentioned the Leafs had signed him to a contract actually just got him mixed up with Rosen.

That's not a bad shout, I thought the story came from Aftonbladet which is a pretty reputable source.

Who knows.

Holm is the oldest of the three and sounded the least impressive on paper anyway.

Borgman likely goes to the Marlies, unless he significantly outplays Marincin, Dermott, Valiev. Rosen might make the Leafs as he can play the right side.

Are we saying goodbye to Hunwick?

So what's the scouting report on Borgman and can Rosen slot in for regular service right away?

TIL: the |g| in Swedish is more like a |y| if there is a soft vowel in front of it, which really wrinkles my brain when I think of all the -berg names.
