Nope... I tried the patch, it didn't work. Finally, I just said eff it and went cold turkey. - Haven't had one in 22 months now. You just have to want to quit more then your body tells you to have a smoke. - It's really just as simple as that.

Just because the refrigerator is broken does not mean we have to remodel the entire kitchen. And if it doesn't appear on an HGTV show does not mean it's crap.

I tried Zyban, and the day I quit, and the nicotine levels dropped, I ended up having an allergic reaction to it. With the nicotine and Zyban, they counterbalanced each other. When the smoking stopped, I blew up like a balloon.

At that point, my choices were to keep smoking, or go cold turkey. Since I'd already decided to quit, and the day was there, I'd be an idiot if I kept smoking. So I went cold turkey, and haven't had a smoke since. Been just over 11 years now.

And no, the urge never goes away. It just becomes really, really easy to ignore.

I went in for my weekly appt at the hospital, and I mentioned I've been getting dizzy easily lately, especially when I stand up.  The took my blood pressure, and it was 91/70.  Apparently that's not good for a big dude like me.  Frick!

We live in a rural area thatis a black hole for satelite or cable. We need an analog converter box to continue receiving television channels after tomorrow but can't find one anywhere as everyone is sold out. The US did this a year ago and provided people with a $40 coupon towards the purchase we get 0. That's my rant.

Dear airshow, I'm halfway across the city and don't care about you in the slightest. Do try to keep it down.

I'm ~100 M from the tower which just got buzzed by the CF-18. Totally effin' awesome. I'm tuned in to liveatc.net and no excatly when they're taking off and landing... All I have to do is seep outside the office to watch. Air Cadets up next... So cool.

Damn you KFC!

Lure me in with your crispy skin, hypnotize me, then go straight to work on the arteries!

Good thing it happens less than annually....

The "toe fingers" girl in the newest round of irritatting Roger's commercials. Everytime that commercial comes on I want to see that girl get slowly tortured, after being covered in toe jam.... and sour milk.... and fire ants. Is that wrong?

I don't know this commercial.  :-\  although I'm probably happy about that, given this post......

In the middle of my 4th double shift (16 hrs per) in 7 days. Just had a big pasta lunch... Those carbs feel like microscopic grim reapers attacking my very soul. Why do I do this to myself?

My father calls me (at work) saying he can't connect to the internet. I asked if he called Rogers - he did - they told him he had a virus (only took them an hour to determine that).
I run him through a number of things - no way he has a virus. I told him either there are signal problems or his modem has crapped out and told him to call back and say he wants a new modem.
Long story short, he gets someone else at tech support who actually does their job and determines its a signal problem on their end and they open a ticket and will fix it for him.

Not nice to cause a 71 year old, less than tech savvy man to go through such grief, then lie to him just to end a call.

WE ARE SURROUNDED BY MORONS!!!

Ticketmaster is useless, well maybe not, but they pissed me off. I bought tickets on June 1st for the Riders and Bombers game this upcoming Sunday, since the event was 3 months away I choose the "mail" option. Well I still dont have the tickets so I emailed them today and just got a response saying that because of the strike, they decided not to mail me my tickets.

When were they going to tell me this? Seems like this is something they could have sent an automated email out to everyone who has this issue, a long time ago, seeing how the strike wasn't that long and was back in June and they weren't going to mail the tickets out until August anyways.
