The Official Complaint Thread!

Crake said:
You know what's not fun? Finding out you have cancer when you're in your early thirties. You know what's worse? While undergoing treatment finding out your wife is cheating on you and has been for some time.

And the real kicker? She claims she's moving an hour away and intends to try and take your only child with her.

Extremely sorry to hear that.

Wow! Sorry.

Makes all other complaints seem so insignificant.

I don't even know where to begin, man. That's just horrible. I feel for you. Hope things turn around.

That's more than one person should have to bear in a lifetime.  I hope that things turn around for you.

Thanks all. Not really looking for sympathy but sometimes venting helps.

The thing is I was OK with the cancer diagnosis. Dealing with it sucks but the long term outlook was very promising. The cheating was a real kick to the balls but if it wasn't for the kid I would have ditched her two years ago (this wasn't the first time), so not really mourning the loss there.

But the threat to take my kid away was too much. She has a terrible case, I'm the primary parent, he's in school here and both our families are here. But you never know what's going to happen if you have to go court and even if it all works out it'll cost a fortune.

Yeah I'll happily sit in a car 90 minutes every day rather than deal with all that. But hope at least venting helped a little and you can look on things a little more pragmatically now!

Crake, glad to hear the prognosis on your health is promising. All of that warrants a good venting. Let us know if there is any way we internet acquaintances/friends can support you further.

So very sorry to hear that. That's a lot to take in all at once. Many good thoughts coming your way to beat this and to keep your child. Hugs.

My commute is a 5 minute walk.
mine would be about an 8 minute walk, but most of my shifts are either at o dark thirty in the morning when it's still dark out, or until 11 30 pm when it's dark.....and my husband doesn't like me walking in the dark. :) So I drive. And I get to work before the song on the iTunes is even over......

oh wow, Crake, that's all kinds of suck :-( holy crap. Best wishes re your health, and I hope you retain custody of the child, cause yeah you're right.
